Giving a little back to our local community

During the weeks that the Clinic has been closed, we have tried to find ways that we can positively impact our local community and support those who have been working incredibly hard on the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We decided to run a competition offering all entrants the chance to win £250 worth of vouchers to spend in the clinic, with 100% of the proceeds to be donated to the Dorchester Food Bank.

We were overwhelmed by the response and can only thank every single person who entered, as each and every one of you have in turn supported this very worthy charity that has been keeping vulnerable families fed during this difficult time.

In total we raised £500 - the winner, Karen Woollam was announced on via our Instagram page, you can view the video here.

Not one to sit back on her laurels, Louisa has completed online training to advance her areola reconstruction skills so that she’s

ready to hit the ground running,

offering up her time for free once a month. For more information about this incredible procedure, for ladies who have undergone invasive mastectomy surgery, take a look at our Areola Reconstruction Programme.

While some of us have been busy working behind the scenes, we appreciate that for key workers it’s been an incredibly busy and demanding time. So we have set up a special 10% discount and goodie bag for care workers, our little gesture of thanks and appreciation.

At the peak of the pandemic with PPE reported to be in short supply, we decided to donate our stocks of PPE to local surgeries.

Although our efforts may feel like a small contribution versus the scale of the pandemic (unlike the incredible Captain, now Sir, Tom Moore!), it’s been good to know that as a business we have taken a look out into our community and hopefully contributed in a positive way - after all every drop makes a mighty ocean.

With news of businesses being able to open their doors in the not too distant future, we are of course busy preparing the clinic ready to be able to welcome you all back. There will be some new safety procedures in place, including precautionary screens to both protect our staff and our customers. We will keep you updated with a firm opening date once we have further guidelines from the Government.

In the meantime, we hope you are keeping well and finding ways to remain positive.

All the best

The Highbrow Team.
