The Highbrow Academy offers the highest quality training for semi permanent cosmetics. We have two trainers who have a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years combined experience in the industry.
You can be assured that if you select the Highbrow Academy for your training you will gain the knowledge and confidence to pursue your own career in semi permanent cosmetics. With ongoing support and one 2 one training for our foundation courses, this is very unique level of training that the Highbrow Academy are proud to offer.

5 Day Beginners Course
The beginners foundation course consists of both theory and practical training.
By the end of the course you will have the skills to carry out 3 semi-permanent make up treatments:

Brows - ombre/shaded brow

Eye Liner - discreet lash definer

Lips - lipliner and blush
We will supply models for this training.
In addition you will receive;

A pre study manual.

A kit box including your choice of micropigmentation pen, manual and all the consumables you will need to get your business up and running.

An additional mentoring day where you will be able to shadow one of our specialists trainers.

Ongoing support via a dedicated closed Facebook group.

A final assessment day where you will carry out 2 treatments of your choice (They must be different treatments and you will be required to provide the model/s)
You will also personally receive a COMPLIMENTARY brow, liner or lip enhancement with one of our specialists, worth approximately £400, at a mutually convenient time. This will mean that you will have experienced the treatment yourself.
In the 3 months following the course you will be required to complete 3 brow case studies, 3 liner case studies and 3 lip case studies where you will complete chart notes and take before and after photos displayed in a professional portfolio and these will be assessed on your final assessment day.
Refreshments are available throughout the day and a light lunch is included.

Advanced Course:
Hairstroke & Combination Brows
This course will include both practical and theoretical elements and will reveal all the secrets of performing realistic hair stoke and combination eyebrows.
During the course you will learn several different patterns and learn to perfect the technique. You will be creating the shapes and lines, taking into account all of the features in the natural facial symmetry.
The course will explain and demonstrate how to approach the implementation of the hair: its bend, thickness, depth of pigment injection, the slope and the speed of the machine.
It will cover the detailed principles of the execution of hair stroke weaves and creating different patterns with the separate hair technique along with the principles of colour matching and working with different techniques in order to perform superb semi-permanent makeup on eyebrows.
All students will work on live models and will be required to supply these themselves.
We will offer ongoing support via a dedicated, student only Facebook page which will be available during clinic opening hours.

Advanced Course:
Shaded Eyeliner
This course will include both practical and theoretical elements and will take you through the delicate techniques used to apply shaded semi-permanent make up to the eye area.
It will cover the techniques used to apply soft lines and also the super soft pixilated effect.
Once completed this course will ensure you have the advanced expertise needed to work with eyes and to create these different soft eyeliners looks, which are so popular with clients.
All students will work on live models and will be required to supply these themselves.
We will offer ongoing support via a dedicated, student only Facebook page which will be available during clinic opening hours.

Thick Liner & Classic Winged
This course includes both practical and theoretical elements and will take you through the delicate techniques used to apply semi-permanent make up to the eye area.
It will cover the powder filling technique, along with classic liners and the full effect winged eyeliner which offers clients a beautiful lift to the eye area.
Once completed this course will ensure you have the advanced expertise needed to work with eyes and to create the different eyeliners looks, which are so popular with clients.
All students will work on live models and will be required to supply these themselves.

Full Lip Pigmentation (Lipstick Look)
This course contains both theoretical and practical elements.
It will cover pre-drawing the lips, achieving the perfect contour along with different types of shading techniques, needle selection and how to achieve maximum saturation of colour on the lip.
You will spend time looking at how to choose the correct colours and undertones for you clients
We shall also cover the various methods of anesthesia that are available and the very important after care suggestions and advice.
One of the most important areas we will cover is useful tips that will help the technician to complete the procedure more quickly and less painfully for the client.
All students will work on live models and will be required to supply these themselves.

Louisa Franzen
Director and owner of the Highbrow Clinic, Louisa is a qualified micro-pigmentation specialist. She is qualified to Level 4 iTEC; the highest qualification in her field and is also a master specialist and qualified micro-pigmentation trainer.
Kim Balaskas
Kim is a Master Practitioner in semi permanent makeup and qualified trainer. She is qualified to Level 4 iTEC; the highest qualification in her field and has travelled the world to enhance her own development.
