What is Morpheus8?
Established as a go-to for celebrities, Morpheus8 is an innovative, state of the art treatment that can be used to both remodel and contour the face and body. Morpheus8 is a full-body fractional resurfacing device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency technology that stimulates collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin. By targeting these deeper layers of the skin, known as the dermis, tissues of the face and body can be remodelled to reveal a more radiant and youthful appearance.
The Morpheus8 is FDA approved as a treatment that can help smooth the appearance of scars, wrinkles, fine lines and cellulite, resulting in a more even skin tone. We are delighted to be able to offer such a prestigious treatment at The Highbrow Skin & Laser Clinic and we will work with you to deliver a treatment plan that will produce long-term results that you’ll love.
FDA approved as a treatment to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture, and tighten areas of skin laxity on the face.
RENEW FACIAL TISSUE
Morpheus8 targets subdermal layers to remodel collagen and enhance the appearance of the tissue.
Stimulate the production of collagen in the underlying layers of the dermis. The Morpheus8 modular tips enable procedures to be customized to treat small facial zones.
How does Morpheus8 work?
Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive fractional skin treatment that combines microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) energy.
Morpheus 8, also known as a collagen-induction treatment, uses 24 microneedles and RF energy to renew the skin and encourage the natural anti-ageing process.
The surface of the face and body is penetrated with 24 coated pins, omitting radiofrequency energy that reaches deep into the skin and fat. This procedure then morphs the ageing of the face and body into a sleeker, smooth appearance. The Morpheus8 is the only device to mould the fat below the skin to morph facial features into a more youthful appearance.
What is the downtime for Morpheus8 treatment?
After treatment there’s a 48 hour to 1 week downtime, however as with any aesthetic treatment, the recovery time is dependent on the client's skin sensitivity and area of the treatment. The expected downtime also is dependent on the client's general standard of health and wellbeing.
Immediatley after the treatment you may notice some potential redness and tiny pinprick bruising.
We recommend you avoid touching your treatment area to avoid irritating the skin and to prevent infection we also suggest being make-up free on that area for 24 hours.
Your consultation is a great opportunity to discuss with your clinical technician any questions you may have.
Who benefits from Morpheus8 treatment?
The benefit of Morpheus8’s is that it is suitable for all skin types, thanks to its fully inclusive colour-blind technology. With its unique properties, even darker skin tones can be treated, meaning everyone can enjoy the benefits.
Morpheus8 technology provides reassurance that no matter your skin tone, this treatment will be safe and effective. It importantly reduces the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which can commonly occur with other laser resurfacing treatments that aren’t right for every skin type.
How many treatments will I need?
As a guide, to achieve the best results, we initially recommend having between 1-3 sessions. However, the number of treatments required to achieve the desired results will largely depend on the area of skin being treated and the client's individual skin type.
Our expert clinic technicians will discuss your personalised treatment plan with you during your consultation, having assessed the treatment area and the results you are hoping to achieve.
How long do Morpheus8 results last?
Initial results can be seen as soon as a few days after your treatment, however as your body takes time to produce new collagen the tightening and smoothing results will become more visible over 3-4 weeks.
Improvements then continue for 2-3 months until the final result is achieved.
Morpheus8 results can last up to 12 – 18 months. The maintenance of these results will depend on lifestyle factors such as sun exposure and smoking. It may be advisable for clients to have an annual follow up treatment to maintain and keep encouraging collagen production.
Depending on the results you wish to achieve from your Morpheus8 treatment journey, our expert technicians will suggest if any maintenance sessions will be required after the three month period to maintain your skin tightening results long term.
Is the Morpheus8 treatment painful?
The Morpheus8 treatment involves microneedles penetrating the skin very quickly, so the treatment can feel a little uncomfortable. Numbing cream or local anaesthetic can be provided if necessary.
Your technician will discuss this your discomfort level and required pain relief at your consultation to make sure you are as prepared and comfortable as possible.
